Multicultural               Queensland – Opportunity to have Your Say                

The Queensland Government is committed to giving Queenslanders of all backgrounds the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the economic, social and cultural fabric of our state. We know that a diverse, dynamic and cohesive society benefits everyone in our　community. Queensland’s new Multicultural Recognition Act 2016 outlines principles to assure our state’s future as a fair, equitable,united, harmonious and inclusive community. Under the new legislation, we must develop a multicultural policy and action plan that will achieve positive outcomes for Queenslanders of all backgrounds.As we develop the policy and action plan, we want to hear a broad range of perspectives and ideas on how Queensland can best               support full participation of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and how Queensland as a whole can maximise the benefits of diversity.
